𝗪𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗮 𝘄𝗼𝗺𝗮𝗻 𝗱𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗿𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗼 BE-𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝘂𝘀 𝗗𝗢-𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲, 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗽𝘂𝘁 𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝗮𝘀𝘁-𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗲! Trying to control food and alcohol with the same strategies you’ve used in the past to reach goals in your Business just doesn’t work here! 🔁
[Believe me, if that were the case then I would’ve long before now taken home the award for being able to stop drinking wine and cure my obsession with late-night-snacking.]
I kept trying to “start Monday” and say “I’m not drinking through the week” or “that’s IT, I’m making 5 calls a day in my business”, and once I realized I had my roadmap to real change going-backwards, that was the biggest game changer for me. ↔️
This happens when you try to start with ACTION-alone. ⁉️Starting with STOPPING (just changing the behavior) is Not the best path!
•••If a person could “just stop” then they would! Period!
⚠️I know this sounds so counter-intuitive to most habit change and goal-getting advice because the issue doesn’t lie in the question of “Can-I or Can’t-I Do It?”, because the fact is, you really Can!
⚠️ The issue lies in the game-plan a woman thinks she should follow of simply bearing down, nose-to-the-grindstone, short-term-sacrifice-for-long-term-gain (•this has cause a lot of women confusion and pain in the business world) and FINALLY Just Fit-Fo (Figure-it-the-F-Out) …she has already lost the game before she can even start.
🗺 Instead, if she could reverse her “traditional” roadmap from the way she’s always approached behavior change:
𝙅𝙪𝙨𝙩 𝘿𝙤 𝙄𝙩! (𝙒𝙞𝙡𝙡𝙥𝙤𝙬𝙚𝙧)
𝘼𝙣𝙙 𝙎𝙡𝙖𝙮𝙞𝙣𝙜-𝙖𝙡𝙡-𝙙𝙖𝙮 at work AND THEN trying to make great decisions at night when it comes to meal & drink choices (without a plan) is not only NOT Sustainable, it’s a set-up for a fall even for the most high-achieving women I know.
🙌 So 𝙒𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝘿𝙤𝙚𝙨 𝙒𝙤𝙧𝙠 is what most people either don’t want to hear or don’t fully believe yet, is that if you want to create & keep new habits then you must realize one important thing: ➡️The clearest roadmap to reaching your goals, no matter what they are, is to approach them in this order: KNOWLEDGE > EMOTION > ACTION!
𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙬𝙖𝙮 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙁𝙚𝙚𝙡, 𝙢𝙚𝙖𝙣𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙀𝙢𝙤𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙨 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙒𝙝𝙮 𝙮𝙤𝙪’𝙧𝙚 𝙖𝙞𝙢𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙬𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙮𝙤𝙪’𝙧𝙚 𝙖𝙞𝙢𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙄𝙎 𝙬𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙬𝙞𝙡𝙡 𝙛𝙤𝙧𝙢 𝙣𝙚𝙬 𝙝𝙖𝙗𝙞𝙩𝙨 & 𝙨𝙤𝙡𝙞𝙙𝙞𝙛𝙮 𝙡𝙖𝙨𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙘𝙝𝙖𝙣𝙜𝙚. It’s Not just repetition (# of days). It’s Not just how often (checking boxes). It might be a little Magic 😉(just because everything’s better with magic ✨). But truly, it’s our EMOTIONS, coupled with new facts and knowledge that make the outcomes sweeter and not confusing!
💕My wins in weight loss were “Feeling-into” sliding in to my clothes comfortably (& not being strangled by my bra)
💕My wins in controlling alcohol without feeling deprived were DESIRING MORE the Feeling of wanting crystal-clarity, not feeling foggy & wanting the voice of alcohol to be small and irrelevant
💕My wins in business came from a deep desire to empower women, find freedom from corporate America, build wealth & legacy (the work part is not always FUN, but the way I feel Trumps bolsters the progress)!
